How to Manage Your Capitec Funds

As part of our regular review of market conditions, FiveWest has made the difficult decision to discontinue the Crypto Arbitrage Service. This decision follows a sustained decline in exchange rate premiums within the crypto market, which has reduced the long-term viability of this product. We have outlined the following options available to you regarding your funds:

1. Withdraw your Funds

You may withdraw your remaining funds and any interest earned in your Capitec Account using your existing Internet Banking access. Funds may be transferred to your own account or an account of your choice.

Please note: FiveWest and Domisa are not permitted by Capitec to initiate withdrawals on your behalf.

2. Close your Capitec Account

If you wish to close your Capitec account, please email [email protected] and request that Domisa initiate the account closure process. Include your Capitec account number in your email.

Domisa will send you a pre-populated Bank Closure Form via DocuSign for signature. Once signed, Domisa will submit the documents to Capitec for processing. Account closure typically takes 1–2 weeks.

3. Keep your Capitec Account Open

You are welcome to keep your account active. There is no minimum balance requirement and no monthly or annual bank fees.

Capitec and/or Domisa will contact you approximately every two years to complete a routine re-FICA process (account verification).

If you do not currently have Internet Banking access, please email [email protected] to request activation. If you have forgotten your login details, please contact Capitec directly on 0860 30 9250 to reset your password. Capitec will resend your login details via email or SMS.

4. Transfer Funds to a FiveWest Earn Account

You may choose to move your funds to a FiveWest Earn Account and earn yield on supported crypto assets.
